Toronto recording artist Melanie Durrant has premiered a catchy and colourful new video in support of her latest project. The “Goodbye” singer teamed up with acclaimed Toronto director The Knemesis to visualize the bass-heavy “Bait and Switch,” which was produced by MoJointz and Ced Solo, and features cuts by DJ Grouch. The track is an ode to the ups-and-downs and struggles within relationships.

“Bait and Switch” is the second video Durrant has released in 2021 and follows the visual for “Listen” which premiered in April. The video features Durrant on a surprise valentine dinner with her significant other. As the two enjoy wine and a romantic candlelit meal, Durrant’s bae seems to be more interested in his phone than focusing on his woman. As the video builds, Durrant continues to get more frustrated until he picks up one call too many, forcing her to lose her cool. The video ends with an unexpected splash, but you will have to watch it to see what happens!

“Everyone has their limits and many people have been in this kind of situation. My goal was to write music people can relate to.” - Melanie Durrant

You can find “Bait and Switch” and Where I’m At on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via Melo-D’s Inc.

Early in her career, Durrant’s single “Bang Bang” won Canadian Single of the Year at the legendary DJ Stylus Awards.
