Muse disappointed by health and safety stage restrictions

Muse can't wait for the weekend to arrive so that they can headline the Reading and Leeds festivals with a very special set.

The band, who formed back in 1994, will rock the audiences at both sites with an exclusive performance that will see them play their fantastic and critically acclaimed 2001 album, 'Origin of Symmetry', in its entirety.

The Devon formed trio are known for their theatrical stage set ups although they revealed that health and safety restrictions might prevent them from taking the extravagance to extremes this weekend:

"There are so many health and safety rules that 80% of what we suggest gets shot down immediately. What we do live is a scaled-down version of what we’d really like."

Speaking about 'Origin of Symmetry' specifically, bassist Chris Wolstenholme added:

"There are some darker songs on Origin that are often forgotten, like Micro Cuts, Space Dementia, Megalomania and Screenager, which show a different side to the band."

“They’re the ones that I’m really looking forward to playing live at Reading and Leeds.” But fans expecting new songs shouldn’t hold their breath."
