Muse thinking about playing intimate gig to celebrate band's anniversary

Next year will mark 20 years of Muse and the rock trio have revealed that they're thinking about doing something special to celebrate the milestone.

Member Dom Howard told XFM that it's a real achievement to have lasted for such a long time in such a flighty industry so they want to honour the anniversary in a way that will be remembered:

"It's our 20th anniversary year and I can't believe it - it's February next year or something so I think we'll definitely do something special for it. Hopefully [we'll] do some special shows for it or something. It will be nice to celebrate that and play some little club somewhere and go, 'Jesus Christ, can't believe we're 20 years old as a band!'"

He added that despite hitting the 20-year mark, Muse are definitely not short of ideas about how to transform their live shows: "There's always ideas hanging around for shows. We always find ourselves coming up with ideas we probably can't achieve."

"Then we end up scaling things back so there's always a list of ideas that we haven't accomplished yet so we can go back to things."
