Skee-Lo's Back With A New Single for Justice! "Untouchable"

“​MusicMogul Entertainment​,” an indigenous owned and operated nonprofit association serving as a platform for musical talent across the United States; released a public service announcement on September 14, 2020; to address systemic racism and police brutality in North America. The announcement was delivered via an (EP) single entitled “Untouchable;” starring Grammy nominated rapper, producer, actor and television host “Skee-Lo;” who’s best known for his 1995 single, “I Wish.”

The "​I Wish​" single by Skee-Lo with a video that parodied Forrest Gump, peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, and his identically titled (self produced) debut album was released shortly thereafter; earning him two (2) Grammy nominations for "Best Rap Solo" and “Best Rap Album.” Skee-Lo also received three (3) Billboard music video award nominations for "Best New Artist," "Best Clip of the Year" and "Maximum Vision Clip of the Year.”

The new “Untouchable (EP)” by SKEE-LO has five (5) remixes; (Radio mix, Instrumental, the Avengers Remix, Avengers Instru. & aCapella). It features Grammy nominated (R&B) male vocalist “C Moe,” and produced by “the VIZION,” “ELEMENT” and “TITANZ ENT. It was (mixed & mastered) by Ulf Olofsson. The (Avengers Remix) however, was (remixed & mastered) by “Michael DeBarge,” “Dre da Most” & “Michael Cassidy.” It features (R&B) female vocalist “Natalis,” who recorded songs with artists like “J Cole” and “Kanye West.” She received two (2) Grammy nominations for West’s album(s): “Yesus” and the “Life of Pablo.” Untouchable (the Avengers Remix) also features (R&B) male vocalist, “David Ruffin Jr,” who recorded songs with “Snoop Dogg” on the [Doggy-Style] album. He received two (2) Grammy nominations for the same. The Untouchable (EP) by Skee-Lo is available for streaming at digital stores such as ​​​Spotify​, ​Amazon and ​Google Play.​

Music mogul “Antoine Roundtree,” professionally known as (Skee-Lo), was born March 27, 1975–on the south side of Chicago IL. He subsequently relocated to New York in 1983; where he was first introduced to hip hop culture. Unbeknownst to him, he'd one day rap about this experience in a future composition entitled “Superman.”

In 1985, Skee-Lo relocated to Los Angeles, California–Leimert Park; where the rapper grew and currently resides. He briefly attended Canyon Springs high school in Moreno Valley, California, from (1990-1993); thereafter, he returned to Los Angeles California. Skee-Lo attended El Camino college on Crenshaw Blvd from (1993-1994). It was during his college years that he began performing at a local venue called, “the Good Life Cafe.” The Good Life Cafe (health food store and open mic night), was best known for hosting west coast talent like (Kurupt, Pharcyde, Ahmad, Skee-Lo, Souls of Mischief, Freestyle Fellowship, Xzibit, Volume 10) and more. Skee-Lo’s first hit album “I Wish,” was actually produced by the artist in his bedroom; as he would often produce songs each week for his upcoming “Thursday night” performance at the rap club. Unbeknownst to him, he would one day share the stage with legendary artists such as (James Brown, Naughty By Nature, Aliyah, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Stevie Wonder) and more.

Skee-Lo's first hit single also entitled " I Wish ," was released in the summer of 1995; by Scotti Bros/Sunshine Records. It peaked at (#1 on the US Billboard "Hot 100" charts, #3 in the UK, #4 in Sweden and #4 in Norway. Skee Lo's second single, " Top Of The Stairs ," was featured in the “Money Train” movie; it peaked at (#2 on U.S. Billboard’s "Hot 100" charts and #38 in the UK). The "I Wish“ album, which has ( 10 songs) written and produced by "Skee-Lo,” also peaked at (#37 on the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100" R&B charts).

In 1996, I Wish by Skee-Lo received two (2) grammy award nominations for "Best Rap Album " and "Best Rap Solo Performance." Skee-Lo also received three (3) Billboard music video award nominations for "Best New Artist," "Best Clip of the Year" and "Maximum Vision Clip of the Year.”

In 1997, Skee-Lo debuted as an actor on television shows like "Baywatch Nights," "Goode Behavior" and "Dangerous Minds (tv series).” Shortly thereafter, he became a VJ and television Host on tv shows like– MTV (The Beach House) and MTV (The Grind). He also co-wrote "I'll Be Your Everything" (rap verse), for the boy band group “Youngstown,” featured in the 1999 “ Inspector Gadget” movie.

Skee-Lo took hiatus from the music scene in 2000; due to a dispute with a previous record label “Sunshine Records.” He subsequently obtained publishing rights to his music catalogue and; thereafter returned to the music industry in 2010.

Today, Skee-Lo is one of hip hop’s few artists/executives that own publishing shares of the music he’s written over the years; now licensed via (Modern Works Music Publishing) on the artist's behalf. Skee-Lo creates opportunities for independent artists also as the (CEO) of "WeGotFilmz Distribution," and "MusicMogul Entertainment."
