Fazer dismisses N-Dubz split rumours

Rapper Fazer has insisted that N-Dubz will be back to record another album together in the future.

Despite recent reports that Dappy, who reached number one with his solo single, ‘No Regrets,’ last year, is no longer speaking to cousin and X-Factor judge Tulisa, Fazer told MTV News that the urban trio have no plans to split:

"We are on hiatus, we're all good. We are just taking some time out. In the last four or five years, I don’t think there has been a period for more than a month when we haven’t been on TV, had a video out, a single out, an album out, our own TV show – we’ve been dominating the TV and the media for the last four years."

He added: "The only thing for us is to keep our fanbase going and to keep people excited about the whole N-Dubz thing, so we thought take a break, give people a chance to breathe but at the same time, don’t give them a chance to breathe.”

When asked if the band had talked about taking a permanent break, he replied: "No way. N-Dubz will always be the base, that’s one thing everyone needs to understand. What we do solo or collectively, there will be some sort of involvement from all three members in each other’s projects."

Like his two band-mates, Fazer is also working on his own solo album, scheduled for release later this year.
