29 August 2019: Rap royalty Rick Ross has launched a high-adrenaline Facebook Instant Game to tie-in with his latest album, Port of Miami 2.

An untapped way of offering fans a new music experience, ‘Port of Miami 2: Born to Drive’ lets players race against the clock in the Rick Ross’ low-rider. Cruising through Miami’s beautiful beaches, bustling ports and downtown streets, players must cop gold chains, Rolexes and chicken wings to successfully reach the next level. The new game is available via Facebook’s recently launched Games tab.

Soundtracked by the recently released Port of Miami 2 with in-game billboards promoting the record, each stage of the game is more difficult than the last as the car goes faster and faster while rush hour traffic swells. Players can prove who’s The Boss by rising through the worldwide leaderboard, aided by invincibility and time bonuses, speed boosts as well as extra points.

‘Port of Miami 2: Born to Drive’ Facebook Instant Game was conceptualised by Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative, Columbia UK and London-based digital creative agency, PHANTOM, to give fans a taste of what it might be like to cruise around Rick Ross’s native Miami. 4th Floor Creative unites the creative disciplines in Sony Music UK — comprising of Brand Partnerships, Sync, Creative, Digital & Audience Development — offering its iconic frontline labels an all-encompassing perspective to achieve an artists’ creative vision.

A sequel to 2006’s platinum-certified debut, Port of Miami, which featured the instant anthem “Hustlin’”, Ross’ latest release marks a major milestone for the rapper. Recent singles like ‘Act a Fool’ ft. Wale and ‘Gold Roses’ ft. Drake have racked up over 20 million streams. The credits read as a who’s who of American rap icons with collaborators including Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Denzel Curry, and the late Nipsey Hussle. Ross is due to embark on a 14-date North American tour of the album, starting 23 September, and has already been on screens in the US with an ESPN takeover and a slot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. His anticipated memoir Hurricanes, a coming-of-age tale chronicling Ross’ rise to rap stardom, is set to hit shelves on 3 September.
