The theme and dates for the sixth edition of the International Music Summit (IMS) have been set and early-bird tickets are now on sale. It will take place between 22nd - 24th May 2013, at its now traditional home of Ibiza’s five-star Gran Hotel. 

The event, which has been dubbed “the TED of music conferences” and is hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, brings together the leading thinkers and trailblazers in global electronic music – from artists to labels to heads of global brands and technology companies. 

Themed IMS: Beyond The Boom Boom!, the event will take a deep look into EDM’s international expansion and how the business is spilling out of the confines of the dance floor and into mainstream culture. It will also focus on where the industry goes in the future – after the goldrush.

We're deep in this huge boom period and we will curate this year's event to look at what happens beyond the global explosion but also dig deep into our own scene and look at the importance of our business beyond the music in the nightclub. 2012 saw IMS go from strength to strength, with the most impressive and authoritative panels and guest speakers to date, with 500 delegates in attendance. Last year’s summit featured exclusive interviews with Giorgio Moroder, Luciano, Nile Rodgers, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and Diplo. They joined executives from Spotify, YouTube, foursquare, Google and Twitter, and the music directors of Ushuaia, Space, Pacha and Amnesia, all sharing knowledge and ideas about growing their businesses in what has become one of the electronic industry’s key annual conventions.

A packed summit schedule will lead into Ibiza’s 2013 opening weekend, and delegates passes will also allow free entry to the island’s superclubs, including the world-famous Space opening, Ushuaia beach club, Pacha and Sankeys.
