Ne-Yo: 'I'm so proud of Conor Maynard and hope he doesn't screw it up'

R&B sensation Ne-Yo has praised British singer Conor Maynard for his "level headedness" and work ethic.

The pair collaborated on one of Maynard's tracks called 'Turn Around' and Ne-Yo spoke out about how talented the singer is and how far he has come in his career:

"I’m extremely proud of that dude, I’m now concerned about the parts of the business that have the tendency to distract. You’ve got young ladies screaming your name now which beforehand maybe wasn’t the case. You’ve got people in your face now. I’ve always appreciated and respected Conor’s level headedness."

The 'Beautiful Monster' hitmaker added: "I pray that he keeps it. I make sure that I do my part and give him a call every now and then and say, ‘hey keep it about the music, take care of that throat, don’t do anything stupid and you’ll be around for a while because people are digging what you do- don’t screw it up.’”

Ne-Yo meanwhile, is currently preparing for a UK tour and explained that he is currently rehearsing extensively for the run of dates:

“I’m actually in LA right now and I’m going to be here for the month of February for the rehearsals. I’m looking forward to getting out there and reuniting with the fans and give them the best show on the planet.”
