Nicki Minaj on being fired as a waitress: 'Customer service wasn't for me'

Rapper Nicki Minaj has opened up about the time she got fired from a waitressing job at the chain restaurant Red Lobster in a new interview with Esquire magazine.

She admitted that the incident that resulted in her contract's termination involved a customer running off with her pen and confessed that she was so annoyed by the theft she chased them out into the parking lot where she swore at them and called them out for taking her biro:

"I like dealing with people, but I don't really like a lot of b******t, so maybe customer service wasn't the best job for me." When asked if the pen the customer stole had any special meaning to her, Minaj added: "No. It was the principle."

Back in September, Minaj opened up about her personal life and told Dazed & Confused that she is very 'low-key' and likes to keep herself to herself: “Most people that I know in the industry have maids, housekeepers, ten bodyguards and a masseuse with them at all times. Everyone around me is like, 'You're so much more low-key than I thought.’”
