Nicki Minaj's 'The Pinkprint' reaches US top five

Nicki Minaj's new album looks set to break into the US top five.

The rapper released her latest effort 'The Pinkprint' on Monday (December 15).

Billboard have confirmed that the record is set to shift over 150,000 units in its first week on sale.

However, this currently isn't enough to dislodge Taylor Swift's '1989' from the albums chart top spot.

Pentatonix's 'That's Christmas To Me' is also currently above 'The Pinkprint'.

Minaj's last album - 2012's 'The Pink Print: Roman Reloaded' - sold 253,000 copies in its first week in the States.
