Nicki Minaj gives revealing interview and addresses Instagram fakery

Nicki Minaj gives a revealing interview in the latest issue of New York Times Sunday Magazine and confesses that she never had body confidence even when a child.

With the advent of Instagram, she was naive to the camera trickery people use on their photos, she says:

"I want to take steps to become more aware of who I am, what I like or dislike about my body  ... where everyone is freaking drop-dead gorgeous.

"I get that people put filters on their pictures, I definitely use filters, but I didn’t know people retouched.’’

The world's biggest hip-hop star continues how she was in a club with her friends and how the friend ‘‘cleaned all the sweat off our face’’ before she posted the photo, she said:

‘‘We’re in a club! We can have a moist, dewy-looking face.’’

The Anaconda rapper continued:

"(Famous) people are posting pictures of working out, and then there’s a change in their body” and they say it’s because they were working out! Ah-hahahaha.’’

The full version of the New York Times' Sunday Magazine article will appear in print on October 11, 2015 with the headline: 'The Passion of Nicki Minaj'.
