Nicki Minaj suggests it is up to parents to deal with explicit lyrics

Nicki Minaj has distanced herself from the responsibilities that come with explicit lyrics in music.

Minaj is known for occasionally using some bad language in her songs, but speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres show, she suggested that it is up to parents to deal with children who may listen to it.

However, Minaj said that her team always try to bring out clean versions of her albums and songs. She said:

"You know what, I'm realising that I don't have to deal with it. I'm not their parents. I can only give advice and you guys know I always give my young little ladybugs my most precious advice, which is to stay a child. Don't rush to grow up."

She continued: "You know, the good thing about my album is that we always make it in a clean version."
