Nicki Minaj could be forced to cancel her upcoming appearances at the V Festival after being told to rest her voice for two weeks.

The singer has just come off the back of a lengthy tour to promote her latest album release, 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'.

However, it seems it has taken its toll on her voice, with the star telling a fan on Twitter that she has been told to rest for two weeks. She said:

"The doctor has asked me to take 2 wks of voice rest."

However, that would mean pulling her shows at the V Festival at the weekend (August 18/19), as well as a date in Dublin on August 21.

Minaj seems defiant however, adding on Twitter:

""But...I'd have 2 miss both shows...2 Uk festivals, + Dublin. I'll keep u posted. What's a girl to do???"
