Nicki Minaj has all but denied she is a Republican Party supporter.

Heads turned recently when the rapper spoke about Presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Weezy's mixtape 'Dedication 4' with the lyric: "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b*tches is f**kin' up the economy".

As previously reported, President and Democratic Party icon Barack Obama waded in on the situation during a radio interview - but he suggested that the line was just the work of a Minaj alter-ego.

The 'Pink Friday' star backed the idea up on Twitter last night (September 10), tweeting:

"Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do... *sends love & support* @BarackObama."

She later added: "Awesome! Now I can tell my grandchildren that the 1st black President of the United States took the time to address a Nicki Minaj question."
