Nicole Scherzinger on Pussycat Dolls experience: 'Nothing was ever good enough'

Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that she felt lonely during her time in the Pussycat Dolls.

The singer was a part of the US girl group in the 2000s before going solo.

However, she told the Guardian that she often felt like expectations were too high on the band, with the singer saying that "nothing was ever good enough".

Scherzinger said: "My 20s were fruitful but not enjoyable. Being in The Pussycat Dolls was probably my loneliest time because I was quite insatiable. Nothing was ever good enough and I didn't know how to take a break. My 30s have definitely been more chillaxed."

The 'My Love' star added that she has now turned a corner, saying:

"I'm recklessly ambitious. In America, ambition is a good thing - it's hunger, it's drive. I hate it when people use the word negatively."
