Nicole Scherzinger has warned fans of X Factor that there's a new "hard" man on the USA version of the show, on which she will co-host with the UK's Steve Jones, and it's not Simon Cowell. 

Speaking to The Sun backstage at Radio 1's Big Weekend, where she performed this past weekend, the 'Don't Hold Your Breath' superstar explained:

"LA Reid is hard. He's giving Simon a real run for his money."

Aside from her duties on the stateside edition of the popular talent show, Scherzinger is also promoting her new album, 'Killer Love', and tweeted a message to her fans last night (May 16):

"Busy&exciting! Jst had a "Big Weekend" in Carlisle UK! #RightThere out on iTunes tmrw, performing on American Idol this wk! Who's gna watch?"
