X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger comes up with her funny expressions in the shower.

The former Pussycat Dolls star has recently become known for her made-up catchphrases on the hit TV talent show.

Scherzinger has revealed how she dreams up such nonsensical sayings.

She told Heat magazine: "From my fantastical mind, of course. They come to me, usually when I'm in the shower, or when I'm at home, cleaning the house. Crazy thoughts will come into my head. Sometimes you just have to be in the moment."

Stunning Scherzinger has a phone full of celebrity contacts and counts people including Ne-Yo and Jennifer Hudson as her pals, although she doesn't like to brag about how many famous friends she has.

She teased: "I can't tell you, it would be weird! I've been in the business for a minute and I'm fortunate to have made some friends like Mary [J. Blige] and Jennifer. I call them my mentors and my friends."
