Nicole Scherzinger has broken up with boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, according to the Daily Mail.

The British newspaper has stated that a spokesperson for the 'Boomerang' singer has confirmed to them that the duo have split up.

The X Factor star and Formula 1 racing driver started dating in 2007 but they split in 2010 to apparently focus on their careers.

However, they later got back together - but this latest split is said to have been due to their busy work schedules.

It comes only weeks after Hamilton admitted that he would like to tie the knot with Scherzinger. He said:

"We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully [we can get engaged] in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years."
