No Doubt describe new album as "the record of our lives"

Now that No Doubt's comeback album, 'Push and Shove', is due to be released the group have revealed that it's the "record of our lives".

This bold statement was made during a recent interview they did with Billboard.com, in which platinum-haired frontwoman Gwen Stefani explained that they wished the offering could have been unveiled sooner, but the wait has been well worth it:

"At the same time, we realised the people that care about us, that have given us our lives, are out there waiting for us, so what does it matter if it's a month here or a month there?"

"As long as we make the record of our lives that we are so proud of. Otherwise, why put something out?"

Stefani also credited band member and bassist Tony Kanal with ensuring they created the best music they possibly could following their collective period of writer's block, adding:

"We needed somebody to be that team leader that could wrangle us all together and would be the one we could go to behind their back and be like, 'Make sure these guys don't f**k it up.' He was so good at that and making us feel confident and move forward. He gets us. He's like family."
