No Doubt are "panicked" Gwen Stefani will accidentally leak their new music.

The US group released comeback record 'Push And Shove' in September last year and they were due to play some shows this summer. However, they confirmed in a statement that they have decided to pull all concerts and concentrate on writing and recording new material.

Stefani said her bandmates are super cautious about the tracks not getting out before the release date, telling US Weekly magazine: "The band has been writing new music for a few months now. My favourite part is getting the demo CD at the end of a session and blasting it in my car. I love to listen to it. I'm the only one still using CDs and everyone is panicked I'll lose one. I've been lucky so far, though!"

No Doubt released in a statement earlier this year: "While we were travelling the world last year promoting 'Push And Shove', Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music.  In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together.  We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease.  After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting."

They continued: "We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop.  So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavour to create something special and inspired.  Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible - both recorded and live on tour.  As always, thank you all for your kind words, incredible support and patience.  We promise to keep you updated with photos and videos from the studio, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get the latest updates.  We will see you soon!"
