Noel Gallagher says he is intrigued to hear One Direction's next album.

The group's singer Liam Payne recently said in an interview that their new record sessions have had an "Oasis-y" vibe.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, the Brit quipped that he is excited to check out the album.

Gallagher said: "Honestly, I cannot wait to listen to what their version of 'Oasis-y' means.

"What if it's brilliant though? What if it's amazing?"

He added that he "doesn't mind One Direction. They're harmless, aren't they?"
