Noel Gallagher has announced that he will be holding a press conference this Wednesday (July 6), where he is expected to reveal the details of his first solo album.

The former Oasis’ guitarist’s solo debut has been long awaited since the band split late in 2009 and with his brother Liam and other Oasis bandmates forming new band Beady Eye.

Many leaks and rumours have been flying around the album details – he is believed to have been recording in Los Angeles and the first single is rumoured to be titled ‘The Death of You and Me’ – but nothing has been confirmed.
