Noel Gallagher's solo tour sells out in just six minutes

The tickets for Noel Gallagher's forthcoming solo tour sold out in just six minutes this morning, August 5.

He will take his High Flying Birds out on the road in October and the tickets were made available from 9am today, but were all gone after just six minutes of being on sale.

He recently explained the inspiration behind his new band's name during an interview with XFM and revealed that "that name ['High Flying Bird'] jumped out. I had a bit of a eureka moment, so I wrote it down. I thought, that looks really cool. It doesn't mean anything, you know?"

Gallagher and his High Flying Birds will perform at the following venues later this year:

  • October 23 - Dublin's Olympia Theatre
  • October 27 - Edinburgh's Usher Hall
  • October 29 - London HMV Hammersmith Apollo
