Noel Gallagher: 'X Factor's groups and over 25s are f**king appalling'

The ever outspoken Noel Gallagher has branded this year's X Factor groups "f**king dreadful".

The High Flying Birds star spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about his take on the talent show and explained that there is one category in particular that really bothered him when he tuned in over the weekend:

"I watched this series for the first time this weekend. I'm usually quite good at picking who is going to go through, and I think I managed to pick them all correctly this time. The groups are f**king appalling; they really are f**king dreadful!"

He also added that the older category doesn't seem to be harbouring a lot of talent either, but he can't take the show seriously because it's "more like a soap opera":

"The over 50s or 25s category are f**king sh**te too. It's only a TV show, though, and the whole thing is more like a soap opera with all their back stories and that carry-on."

"The live shows are when it's at its best and it's great Saturday night TV, especially when you've got an 11-year-old daughter. That show is her life!"
