Outspoken rocker Noel Gallagher has revealed that during this year's BRIT Awards in London he enjoyed an entertaining bonding moment with Blur star Damon Albarn that involved One Direction.

Speaking to Time Out Dubai about the amusing incident, he explained that he spent time with the 'Song 2' singer as they sat at the same table and got on because they shared the same opinion on the UK boyband:

"We were both invited by War Child (this year) so we were sat on the same table. And it turns out, after all these years, that we're both actually really genial fellas. We got absolutely (drunk) and told One Direction to (go away) in unison, that was the highlight of the night."

When asked how One Direction reacted to the face-to-face snub, Gallagher joked: "I don't know, you better ask One Direction."
