Olly Murs reckons England can win this year's World Cup.

The football tournament kicked off last night (June 12) as hosts Brazil beat Croatia 3-1.

England are due to play their first game against Italy on Saturday (June 14) and Murs told Capital FM that he thinks the team can win the whole competition.

The Brit added that he actually has a ticket for the final on July 13 - and he's hoping England will be there.

Murs said: "As ever I think [England] can win. I honestly do. I'm going to the World Cup final so I'm very excited about that, I've got tickets to go and watch it. I'm praying that it's England! I mean, what would be the chances if you book tickets to the World Cup final that actually, you could watch England [play]!

"I think we've got a good enough squad. In 90 minutes anything could happen, if we can catch every team on a bad day!"
