Olly Murs reveals what was in his apology letter to Taylor Swift

British singer Olly Murs recently criticised Taylor Swift for writing tracks about her ex-boyfriends, but he has now revealed that he was 'stitched up' by the interviewer and never meant to cause offence.

Speaking to 2DayFM back in October, the cheeky star explained that she could maybe lay off writing songs about One Direction's Harry Styles now that they're very much apart and was quoted as saying: "Come on [Taylor], let it go. Write something new that isn't about Harry. Bless him, it's been like two years and he's still getting lashed out isn't he?"

Murs has now admitted to Heat magazine that nothing he said was meant in a mean way at all and everything got blown out of proportion: “I got massively stitched up by the radio presenter. I meant no malice in it at all, it was complete banter.”

The 'Dance With Me Tonight' hitmaker went onto add that he felt so bad after the incident became so public that he wrote her a note and apologised personally: "I left a card for her and said ‘sorry I’m not that artist, I’m not that person’. But it made me feel better that I apologised.”
