Olly Murs on 'X Factor' hosting gig: 'I never wanted to do it alone'

Cheeky singer Olly Murs has opened up about his new gig hosting 'The X Factor' and revealed that he's starting to get a little anxious about taking on such a huge responsibility.

During an interview with Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon this week, Murs explained that he really can't wait for the job to begin although he doesn't feel as though anyone will replace Dermot O'Leary: "I think it's great, I mean, obviously you can't help get nervous about it. I never wanted to replace Dermot [O'Leary].

Referring to the fact that he will be co-hosting with Caroline Flack, Murs confessed that it makes the opportunity even more appealing to him: "I never wanted to present the show on my own, I think presenting the show with Caroline [Flack], I'll have a lot more fun."

He also recently spoke to Free Radio about the presenting job and mentioned his nerves ahead of the launch: "I can’t wait - it’s gonna be amazing. I think nerves have definitely kicked in a little bit, I’m like wow, it’s gonna be quite an amazing thing to do. Obviously at the moment focusing on the tour, but I’m really excited. It’s gonna be really tough for me and Caroline obviously replacing someone like Dermot."
