Olly Murs: 'I've heard One Direction's new music sounds incredible'

Olly Murs says he's heard reports that One Direction's new music is "incredible".

The singer told Shazam Top 20 that he is confident about the band's future after the departure of Zayn Malik in March.

He said: "They don't need another person. It was such a shame to see Zayn leave, but they seem so confident and relaxed and I think it's going to be incredible for them.

"I think they're going to be as strong as ever when they come out with new songs later this year, and by the sound of it, their new music sounds incredible."

When asked if he has actually listened to One Direction's music first hand, Murs said that he has just heard good reports from his management, who also look after the group.

He added: "They're One Direction - they're the biggest band in the world and they've got the best fans in the world, so I think they'll be back with a bang."

One Direction's last album 'FOUR' came out in 2014 and a new album - featuring the remaining four singers - will land later this year.
