Olly Murs on Xtra Factor return: 'It'll be funnier and I won't be as nervous'

Olly Murs has opened up about returning to this year's The Xtra Factor and thinks it will be "funnier" because he "probably won't be trying as hard" as it's not a new job.

The 'Dance With Me Tonight' star was nervous to host the show last year, but admitted to Capital FM that he is more confident in the role now so he's looking forward to getting back in front of the cameras:

"I think I'll probably be a lot more relaxed and I won't be as nervous. I mean last year was really really, I mean every week I was so nervous."

"I think as the weeks went on I got more and more comfortable and I think I grew more as a presenter. So the fact that everyone was loving me last year for what I was doing, I'm hoping that this year I go out there with a bit more gags and make it funnier, and I probably won't be trying as hard as well so it'll be good."

Before Murs returns to his presenting duties, he will join UK boyband One Direction on their headlining tour of the USA, which is set to kick off in May.
