Olly Murs got the fright of his life after being pranked by JLS.

The two acts, who are both former X Factor contestants, were taking part in a Channel 4 TV programme to raise awareness for Cancer Research's 'Step Up To Cancer' campaign.

JLS star Aston Merrygold appeared to agree to become a human cannonball for the TV cameras, with Murs being tasked with pressing the all-important green button.

However, due to 'complications', Murs pressed the button twice and 'Merrygold' overshot the crash mats and hit a wooden floor.

The 'Oh My Goodness' star looked on in horror before it was revealed that the person inside the cannon was actually a stunt double.

Tweeting about the terrifying ordeal, Murs said: "Still recovering, still shaking & still shocked!! @JLSOfficial you got me proper today!!"
