Olly Murs to help youngsters "link music and football together" as FA ambassador

Earlier this month, 'Heart Skips A Beat' hitmaker Olly Murs was named as the new ambassador for the Football Association (FA) and he has now spoken out about his excitement at working on the project they have planned together.

Murs, who is a keen footballer, will help "link music and football together" by working with youth communities and explained that he's perfect for the job because he has knowledge of both:

"I go to matches and watch football on TV. I know what I'm talking about. My job is to make people more aware of the grassroots of English football and where it's going next."

He added: "Being involved in more community work, like say me and Alan Shearer turning up to play football with some lads, then afterwards we do a music lesson."
