Olly Murs has revealed his desire to try acting in action films.

The singer isn't quite best known for Arnold Schwarzenegger-esque muscles but it seems he is lining himself up for a bruiser role in the future.

Murs sees himself as a Jason Statham type figure - but he told The Sun that he is wanting to concentrate on his music career at the moment. He said:

"I could be a badass. I could be like a Jason Statham. I love action films. I'd love to do acting at some point in the future. Now it's music, but it's all about progression."

The cheeky chappie is currently hosting the Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack, but he recently revealed that he is unsure if he will return for the spin-off show's next series.
