Olly Murs donates signed hat to charity clothes auction

Olly Murs has given fans the chance to own one of his famed hats.

The former Xtra Factor host is well known for wearing headgear and he has teamed up with housing and homelessness charity Shelter to donate a hat for a special auction.

Other celebrities to have given clothes to the cause include 'Defamation of Strickland Banks' rapper Plan B and TV's Alan Carr.

Speaking about his item, Olly Murs said:

"I've donated one of my summer trilby hats to Shelter this summer. It's a great charity, so get bidding guys!!"

Shelter's Chief Executive Campbell Robb meanwhile commented: "It's fantastic that so many of Britain's best-loved stars have donated these exclusive items from their wardrobes to support families at risk of losing their home. We're hoping that people across the country will follow suit and give some of their own pre-loved clothes to our shops so that we can help more people who need us."
