Olly Murs has confirmed plans to write with Gary Barlow.

The singer told the Daily Star that the idea has been mooted for years but it seems the X Factor judge will help write a track for Murs' next album.

The former Xtra Factor even suggested that they might invite Barlow's Take That bandmate Robbie Williams into the writing sessions too. Murs said:

"I'm going to write a song with Gary. We've been speaking about it for years but it will happen for the next album.

"I saw him at Dermot O'Leary's party and pulled him to one side and said: 'Let's get in the studio and see what happens'."

The 'Troublemaker' star added: "We want to get Robbie in too, maybe even both of them at the same time to write a song. That would be great."

Murs confirmed that he hopes to have his next record "finished by May".
