Tejai Moore Interview | @Tejaimoore

1. Tell us about yourself and your music?

First off, I want to say thanks for having me. I'm Tejai Moore, singer & songwriter born in Miami, FL but raised in Germany. Due to the different cultures I was exposed to during my days of growing up, it shines through my music. I make music in the genres of Urban/R&B but also Pop, EDM, and Alternative. I also song-write for others in these same genres.

2. How would you describe your sound?

I would say that it is unique, versatile, and after closely listening to a few songs of mine, you may even notice my sound when I write for others.

3. Talk about the experience making your single?

I was very focused when working on the single. I wanted to do something that would not only catch ears vocally, but also lyric-wise. Once I felt like I achieved that self-goal I felt that it was time for my supporters to have it.

4. What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

I am currently doing a lot of songwriting on several projects of other artist in the industry and also a few very talented indie artists who are coming up.

Though the single is out, I am also still in studio, aside from the songwriting, working on new music of my own for a possible upcoming EP.

My last performance was me opening for the group Migos in Panama City Beach, FL. It was an amazing night and crazy, to say the least. Right now there are talks of a possible promo tour, but no set dates as of yet. I am looking forward to it though.

5.  What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

I would say aside from some of the amazing performance opportunities and turn-outs I have had, I would say it wouldbe hitting charts in UK as a songwriter.

I wrote Curtis Moore's single, "Lipstick" feat. Scorcher, which charted. I also co-wrote Rough Copy's single, "Street Love", which charted in the UK as well. That feeling was amazing and opened many doors for me as a writer. Things like that is proof and fact, rather than opinion. It solified a few things, but I am working to do much, much more.

6. Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

Tejai Moore feat. The-Dream, Marques Houston, Chris Brown, Beyoncè, and Rihanna, haha. Hope that wasn't too much.

7. Name something random that people do not know about you?

The only way I fall asleep is by watching a movie on Netflix or watching something on TV. If I don't watch something while I am laying down, I am WOKE, haha.

I developed that habit as a child.

8.  What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

I have learned that good music is what keeps you in, but business is what gets you in.

9. What can we expect from you in the future?

You can expect longevity, hard-work, and music you can vibe with. My word.

Thanks, again, for having me. Much love
