Fulleffex – UP and Interview @_fulleffex_

Tell us about yourself and your music?

My name's Efe Alexander Obieroma. Nigerian born, Nigerian raised. 28 years old. I was brought up in in a music-loving home and was raised on everything from Stevie Wonder to Cindy Lauper and Michael Jackson. Funny cos one would think I'd end up a singer (lol).

But I discovered hiphop along the way and since my first line, it's been lit all the way. I started out with a fascination with words... I loved poetry...  Rap to me was poetry but a lot more fun.

The likes of Nas, Tupac, Big Pun, DMX, Busta Rhymes to name a few started the journey for me. I just knew I was too good with words not to rap.

How would you describe your sound?

My  sound... I'm a rapper. Fundamentally, it's same old rap music with a touch of 'me'. My sound is me. I'm a thinking person. Most of my work have some level of depth to the lyrics. I'm dark sometimes too and other times I just kick bars... But my sound is me. And that's deep, dark, heavy...

Talk about the experience making your single?

Sober Reflections... Well, I was anything but sober that day. Stepped in the studio and Olumba (my producer) played new beats cos that's what he does when I'm around. Then this beat came up and I just stepped to the mic and told him I had a hook. I dropped it and everybody was laughing.

So I dropped the hook for the song and are back a few days later. Recorded verse 1 and got everyone laughing again. By the time was done, it was real af in the studio cos everything I said was real. Every bar down to the hook is real. Just a few things that add up to life for most people in my world.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

Working on new projects. I  have a joint project titled "The Wayward EP". I'm on that with a very talented singer by the name of Drillz The Gemini. It's finished and will be dropping on the 29th of June. It's a mix of hiphop and some contemporary afro beat music. Beautiful stuff.

I also have a album 'Change Your Dealer' dropping on the 13th of July so watch out for that.

I'm going to be featured on the 2017 Hennessy Cyphers. I'm working on a video for Sober Reflections as well so you should be seeing more of me as time goes on.

Shows, yes though I don't have dates now but I do have some events locked down.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

Well, 'Sober Reflections' got on Thisis50.com. That was like a Grammy to me. Lol. Before that, it was when I released a song, Till The End... It did so well online and on radio, home and abroad.

I can only work and pray for  bigger moments

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

Personally, I'd work with either... Though working with independent artists is always smoother.

Name something random that people do not know about you?

Okay this is not a joke: I really am crazy

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

There's no love out here.

What can we expect from you in the future?

More music. Big things. New moves.
