Britney Spears’ ‘Glory’ is number two in the Official UK Midweek UK Album Chart

 

 

Britney Spears’ ninth studio album, Glory, is currently number two in this week’s Official UK Midweek Album Chart.

If Glory stays at number two it will become Britney’s joint highest peaking album in the UK ever, alongside …Baby One More TimeOops!… I Did It AgainGreatest Hits: My Prerogative and Blackout.

Glory is certainly expected to mark Britney Spears’ seventh entry into the UK Official Albums Chart top ten.


Since the album’s release on Friday (August 26th), critics have raved about Britney and various tracks from Glory. The Los Angeles Times stated, “Spears might be on the verge of her biggest comeback yet,” while The Wall Street Journal said “Make Me…”, “sounds like both vintage and 2016 Britney all at the same time — it’s catchy, sexy and fresh.” Entertainment Weekly said the song was, “a sexy summer single,” while People Magazine stated that, “the icon sounds more in control than ever.” When posting about “Private Show”, Rolling Stone says, “Spears gives a soulful vocal performance,” while Billboard stated “Clumsy” is “a club-filled hook-friendly number” and Cosmopolitan said “Do You Wanna Come Over” is, “Spears at her finest.”
