Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF), a charity that champions Canadian nurses in improving health and nursing care over Canada, will host the 2021 CNF MaskerAide on October 28th to recognize and celebrate the nurse behind the mask. This will be a virtual event featuring Canadian artists: singer/songwriter Domanique Grant, Bhangra Dance Artist Gurdeep Pandher, and others.

In addition, Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Michael Bublé, will be the recipient of the inaugural HOLLIBLU Hero Award for his contributions to those who provide a service within healthcare and for his public health advocacy in 2020. HOLLIBLU, an app for nurses, is a safe place where nurses can build community and find support.

Each year HOLLIBLU recognizes individuals who are strong advocates for public health and who make significant contributions to transforming healthcare. Michael Bublé used his social platforms to share COVID-19 education, provide quarantine entertainment, laughter, and levity during a very stressful time. Michael continues to give back to nurses and healthcare workers by donating seats to his USA shows and a well-deserved night out for nurses.

In 2022 we will be presenting the very first ‘HOLLIBLU Strive to Thrive Award’. This award is given to hospitals or facilities that have shown exceptional employee satisfaction and retention scores. All Strive to Thrive Award nominations are executed directly by the employees of the respective facility and include testimonials from hundreds of staff members. Strive to Thrive champions are facilities that exemplify characteristics such as teamwork, advocacy, employee support, safe staffing, and diversity.
