Romina Arena and Perseverance Records To Release Two Albums This Year

Singing sensation Romina Arena and Perseverance Records signed a deal to release two albums worldwide this fall. The releases will combine Romina´s voice and lyrics with music from several movie soundtracks, including those by Ennio Morricone and others. In 2000, Romina was the first female songwriter to add Italian lyrics to Morricone's “Once Upon a Time in America” movie theme.

Romina says: “I am very happy to be releasing these two albums later this year. Writing the songs, being in the studio and recording them will be a lot of fun. I am happy that both albums will be released on Perseverance, who is doing this for the love of film music.”

Robin Esterhammer, owner of Perseverance Records, says: "We are proud to run these two projects with Romina Arena. Both releases will be as extraordinary as her voice, and we are looking forward to working with Romina and her management.”

In addition to these projects, Romina is currently working on her autobiography. Plus, a major motion picture about her remarkable and inspiring life story is currently being developed by a two-time Oscar award-winning producer. Several other movie and television projects are also in the works. Romina has also recently signed a publishing deal with Linden/Quill Driver Books and will be releasing her first book in 2013.

About Romina Arena

Music for Romina has been the vibration of her life since she was just a child. She was a Mouseketeer for Disney’s Mickey Mouse club in Italy called “Topolino,” and performed as a classical ballerina in major Italian theaters at the tender age of 7. The amazing and talented Romina Arena has overcome adversity in her rise to stardom. At age 15, she suffered a vicious attack at the hands of a jealous entertainer in Italy who severed her vocal cords and rendered her comatose for more than 18 months. Romina, with true determination, not only survived the attack, but also completely recovered to become an international superstar with a five-octave vocal range. It is her powerful POPERA style (pop meets classical) that makes her unique and without compare. Her ability to sing, speak and write music fluently in 10 different languages have allowed her to open many doors to the international music market, including here in the United States. A pioneer, although still at a young age, she is without a doubt the female answer to Andrea Bocelli or Josh Groban. For more information, visit www.rominaarena.com.
