Pet Shop Boys open 'Super' pop-up store in Shoreditch

Pet Shop Boys have launched a pop-up shop in Boxpark Shoreditch, London, which will be open throughout the weekend to celebrate the release of their new album, “Super”, which is out now.

The pop-up shop has a range of new Pet Shop Boys merchandise for sale, including tee-shirts in five different designs, iPhone cases, a signed screen print (edition of 100), badges, and signed “Super” CDs and vinyl (while stocks last). There are also listening stations with B&O Play headphones so visitors can listen to the album.

The shop will be open for three days, April 1st, 2nd and 3rd with opening hours from 11 am to 7 pm (Friday and Saturday) and 12 pm to 6 pm (Sunday). It is located at Unit 26, BOXPARK (Pet Shop Boys), Braithwaite Street, London E1 6GY.

The shop is made possible with the assistance of Bang and Olufsen PLAY and Worth Retail. UK Country Manager of B&O PLAY Tom Martin says:

“We are truly honoured to bring together two such iconic and stylish partners - Pet Shop Boys and B&O PLAY by Bang & Olufsen to create a unique and beautiful listening experience for the release of 'Super’."

"When we were asked to create a pop up shop for the launch of the Pet Shop Boys new album ‘Super', we jumped at the chance", says Alex Johns, Managing Partner of Worth Retail. “The store, at Boxpark in Shoreditch, is an ideal chance for fans to experience the music first hand and immerse themselves in the Pet Shop Boys brand.”

Pet Shop Boys have released their new album ‘Super’ on x2 Records (through Kobalt Label Services), out now.  The album was written in London and Berlin and produced and mixed by Stuart Price in Los Angeles. It features 12 new Tennant/Lowe compositions including the current single, 'The Pop Kids’. ‘Super’ will be available on CD, vinyl and digitally.

Pet Shop Boys have also confirmed a residency of four very special, sold-out concerts at London’s Royal Opera House from July 20th-23rd. Entitled ‘Inner Sanctum’, the concerts will be the only opportunity to see this brand new, site-specific Pet Shop Boys show which is being staged by long-term PSB designer Es Devlin and choreographer Lynne Page.
