Stars including Pink and Kim Kardashian have taken to Twitter to congratulate Beyoncé following the announcement at last night's (August 28) MTV Video Music Awards that she is pregnant.

The 'Crazy In Love' hitmaker stunned fans and celebrities in attendance at the VMAs by revealing her baby bump on the 'black' carpet.

And Pink, who became a first-time mother herself in June, congratulated the expectant mother and her husband Jay-Z over the way she unveiled the happy news.

She wrote: "What an adorable way to announce a baby :) congratulations beyonce and jay z! Get your sleep now."

Kardashian said: "I'm sooo happy for Beyonce & Jay Z!!!! Be's preggo!!! Congrats!"

Former Spice Girls star Melanie Chisholm added:  "Such wonderful news about Beyoncé. The fact she was pregnant at Glasto makes me love her even more."

Katy Perry playfully offered her and husband Russell Brand's babysitting services: "Beyoncé me & @rustyrockets [Brand] are avail to baby sit anytime! We'z real responsible... ish."
