Pixie Lott is the latest name to be confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV dancing show is due to return to British screens on September 26 and Lott said of her appointment:

"I'm so excited to be doing Strictly, it's going to be a lot of fun. I always want to push myself as a performer so can't wait to learn the routines."

She joins the already announced Frankie Bridge on the show, whilst the likes of Simon Webbe, Scott Mills and Judy Murray are also confirmed.

They're on the bill alongside Jake Wood, Sunetra Sarker, Thom Evans, Steve Backshall, Alison Hammond and Mark Wright.

Last year's Strictly Come Dancing was won by Abbey Clancy.

Lott meanwhile released her new self-titled album earlier this year.
