Pixie Lott says next album will be inspired by the 'up-tempo' Strictly Come Dancing

Pixie Lott has revealed that being on Strictly Come Dancing has influenced her musical direction.

The singer is currently appearing on the BBC One reality TV show and she told Bang Showbiz that its "fun" nature will seep into her next record.

Lott said: "The album in January is just going to be my fourth album. We've already got the sessions booked in. We're going to go to New York, LA.

"My last album, I wanted it to be really organic, I worked with like a small group of people, but this album, I think after just dancing and stuff, I want to do more of a fun, up-tempo vibe, do some collaborations, do something fresh and be up for working with loads of different producers."

The Brit's last album came in the shape of 'Pixie Lott', which was released earlier this year.
