Returning to the limelight for the first time since the release of her second album ‘Wolf Moon’ in 2023, Tabitha Booth is back with the release of her empathic new EP ‘Highway to the Heart’.

Blending together colourful creative soundscapes with a powerful sonic backbone, ‘Highway to the Heart’ peers its head as a dynamic body of work. Throughout the EP, a riotous sense of ecstasy is embedded into the tracks. Consisting of four tracks, and clocking in at a touch over sixteen minutes, the EP highlights Booth’s masterful approach to songwriting with cutting guitar chops, deep bass grooves and ethereal woodwind toplines.

“The title track, “Highway to the Heart” is a song about oppression and escape through the feminine lens. I wrote the lyrics in honor of my mother who taught me that having a big heart and willingness to give, that having empathy and emotional depth, does not, in fact, mean that the world will reciprocate any of it; they will not have etiquette, respect or gratitude; and might bleed you dry while they remain unconscious at the wheel. Confronted with this, most people will subconsciously look for an escape route… or create an identity to escape into where self-acceptance can be found. Isn’t that, in some ways, what all this AI and digital technology - innovation - serves?”
