After almost a decade since their debut studio album, Soul Deception return for 2025 with the release of their latest project, ‘Good For The Soul’. Defying genre conventions with their alluring blend of rock, soul and blues, the band look to confirm their reputation as insatiable creative powerhouses.

Sporting a vast creative palette, the latest project from Soul Deception reaches into every corner of musical understanding. Swirling guitars and groove-laden basslines bring the album to life, building an intoxicating, bluesy aura that is just as rich as it is authentic. Tied together by the nature of the album, every song explores a different element of the band’s sonic abilities. From anthem to ballad, ‘Good For The Soul’ has it all.

Diving into the project, John Heller explains, “This second album captures the passion of all of us in each song, from the opener, ‘Suddenly’ to the ballad ‘Drifting Away’, to the soulful ‘Mystery’. In writing the songs, Samantha and I worked together to craft the end result as the album we always heard when performing live. This is a collection of songs that vary in style and flavor, allowing one to find something to connect to. Conceived during the COVID outbreak, we all pushed on together, song by song, to create this newest Soul Deception Album.”
