Alt-pop artist Nicolas McCoppin is releasing a new NYC-inspired single "L.E.S. boy" on Friday, June 9th. This dance-worthy track is an upbeat interpretation of topics related to relationships, heartbreak, the LGBTQ+ community, self-discovery, mental health, and more. "L.E.S. boy" is the definition of a catchy comeback anthem dedicated to McCoppin's time spent living in the Manhattan's East Village. In an aching reminiscence, "L.E.S. boy" reflects McCoppin's transcendence into a new self-power that he hopes to convey to listeners through a more exploratory sonic landscape. A auditory sucker-punch to the gut, bright melodies are contrasted with industrial textures and beats amidst an ethereal aura that flows in and out creating a cinematic listening experience.

McCoppin's lyrics explore the fear associated with codependency, specifically highlighting how empty one can feel once that attachment breaks. Nicolas has grown to be more confident in himself, and has worked to include himself on the list of people he holds close to his heart. Complete with introspective lyrics and optimistic instrumentals, L.E.S. boy represents a painful yet rewarding rebirth of the soul.

"L.E.S. boy is the first chapter of my rediscovery. I had to find a version of myself that could survive betrayal by two of the closest people in my life. I was drowning in confusion and for a long time couldn’t put my feelings into words. Creating L.E.S. boy helped me to express and uncover the person I was becoming. This song is for everyone who has loved, lost, and felt every emotion in-between. I hope L.E.S. boy can provide listeners with the same sense of serenity and joy it brought me." - Nicolas McCoppin, Indie-Pop Artist

"L.E.S. boy" launches just in time for Pride month and is the perfect soundtrack to any and all Pride celebrations in NYC and beyond! Nicolas McCoppin is a member of the LGBTQ+ community himself and makes a conscious effort to support efforts as much as he can. Pride is McCoppin's favorite time of year, and he is thrilled that this release will be available for listeners to stream and dance to all month long.
