The Old Silent Stream Ill Wind Ahead Of Double A-Side Release

Enigmatic Merseyside newcomers The Old Silent have announced that they will be digitally releasing their debut double A side single ‘Ever You’ / ‘Ill Wind’ on Monday 17th June.

Written, produced and recorded by the band themselves and mixed by up-and-coming producer Tarek Musa (who’s worked in various capacities with luminaries Dan Croll, Mikhael Paskalev and Jethro Fox), this debut foray from The Old Silent sets out their stall as definite ones to watch from the burgeoning grass roots Liverpool music scene that’s sprung up surrounding the vibrant arts scene centered around independent venues like Mello Mello and The Kazimier.

To celebrate, the band are streaming ‘Ill Wind’ ahead of release HERE.

“It's a song about a time when I was feeling restless and anxious about the future.” says vocalist and guitarist Ste Forshaw of the emptiness and longing conveyed in Ill Wind “We were really skint trying to make a living as buskers through a long winter, and I was really far away from my girlfriend in London at the time.”

With a handful of key performances under their belt, this intriguing new quartet aren’t giving much away, only recently giving fans the chance to hear material live at a low key support slot with Alcopop Records’ My First Tooth at The Shipping Forecast in Liverpool.

Ever You / Ill Wind is released physically on 17th May and digitally on 17th June
