The Prodigy have announced a series of UK tour dates.

The dance act will play ten shows across the region in May.

The run, which comes in support of upcoming new album 'The Day Is My Enemy', opens at Newcastle's O2 Academy on May 4.

There will be gigs in cities such as Cardiff, Blackpool and Brighton before the tour concludes with two shows - which run from 9pm to 3am - at London's Alexandra Palace.

Tickets will go on public sale from 9am UK time on Wednesday (January 14). The full schedule is as follows:

• May 7 2015 - Birmingham O2 Academy Birmingham 
• May 8 2015 - Cardiff Motorpoint Arena 
• May 9 2015 - Blackpool Empress Ballroom

• May 12 2015 - Brighton Centre 
• May 14 2015 - Bournemouth International Centre 
• May 15 2015 - London Alexandra Palace 
• May 16 2015 - London Alexandra Palace
