Toronto-based Soul/Pop artist Liz Loughrey will be performing at The Hotel Café in Hollywood, CA on February 10th, 2017. Performing along side Liz will be guitarist Adrian X (The Weeknd, Drake, PartyNextDoor.) Her 40 minute acoustic set will be in the parlour room at 7PM. 

Her latest single 'Rise Up' was written and produced in Miami by Liz Loughrey, Adrian X and Supa Dups (Drake, Party Next Door, Mary J Blige). The track has racked up over one hundred thousand plays on Spotify, this adds up to a total of 3 million views on her Youtube channel. "Rise Up" defines her entire approach to music and life. "That sense of bringing people together, that sense of calling people to come out of their comfort zone."

With an expected debut release in 2017, "Rise Up," was not written with activism in mind, "but this is what it's become," she says. The video, conceived by LZL, is a compilation of clips from around the world portraying devastation and inspiration. She's also started #RiseUpMovement, "encouraging people to focus on their strengths, on what their gifts are and what they can give back." On days off her tour schedule, she hosts workshops for Grade 7 and 8 students talking about self-esteem. "'Rise Up' is the foundation, the tone of what I want to do," she says, "it's a reason why I sing."
